Tomte (Swedish) are solitary, mischievous domestic spirits, responsible for the protection and welfare of a farmstead and its buildings.
According to folklore these little creatures, favour colder weather and like to cosy up in houses. If you welcome them and treat them kindly, then they will bring good luck.
We recommend these candles as a decorative piece, however, should you wish to burn them. Place on a heat-resistant surface and keep out of reach from pets and children. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Trim your wick to 5mm before burning.
